Auto Value Challenge Race at Norway Speedway

car racing

Recently, Auto Value Part Stores hosted the first of two Auto Value Challenge races at Norway Speedway in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This was held at Norway’s slightly banked and paved 1/3 mile oval track. The event has been held for over 25 years by Auto Value Part Stores. At the same time in Norway’s Pavilion, Auto Value also held a Customer Appreciation night with hot dogs, brats and chips to spend some fun time with our customers. The stands were full and the excitement was electrifying as the feature race started.
Menominee’s Dalton Zehr carefully picked his way through traffic and passed Mike D’Angelo for the lead on lap 20 and sifted through lapped traffic to win Round 1 of the Auto Value Triple Crown Friday night.
Zehr started 11th on the grid and stayed patient. Marquette’s D’Angelo snatched the lead and appeared headed for a career win. But Zehr surgically picked off cars one-by-one and motored around D’Angelo for the lead with 30 laps remaining.
Zehr wound up taking home the $1,000 top prize. D’Angelo held on for second place money in his best performance of his career. Last week’s feature winner Tom Lindquist took third, followed by Robby Iverson and Kris Kelly. “It’s always tough to get a win here at Norway as there are a real tough bunch of competitors,” Zehr said in victory lane.

This blog is definitely rather handy since I’m at the moment creating an internet floral website – although I am only starting out therefore it’s really fairly small, nothing like this site. Can link to a few of the posts here as they are quite. Thanks much. Zoey Olsen
